Nashville's Best Coffee Shops
If you’re like me and need some bean water to get the day going, your’e gonna need this list of Nashville's Best Coffee Shops when in Music City! I have a super boring order so I don’t look at me to help ya with what is best. And let’s get real, we all have a different latte order. But you cannot go wrong at any of them, just pick your vibe and go!
Barista Parlor
If you dig vintage motorcycles, check out Barista. This locally owned chain is in East, Germantown, and the Gulch, even in the airport. Their shops are decked out with moto memorabilia, vinyl records and 8-tracks players, and garage aesthetics inside their renovated service stations.
Killebrew
Killebrew is inside the Thompson hotel in the Gulch. I love grabbing a coffee and working in their lobby. It is filled with locals and travelers a like. Make sure to grab a bite in their restaurant, Marsh House, if you have some time to spare and need a bite!
Moonshot
Moonshot is in Downtown Nashville, under the TownPlace Suites on Gay St. They are re-opened after closing for renovations this spring. If you bring your own mug, you get 20% off your cup of joe, which is pretty cool.
Kettner Coffee Supply
Located in East, this shop has some serious plant mom vibes and murals on the bar and walls. Their motto printed on all hot coffee cups and on their mural outside says, "High Standards, Low Morals." And we've all vibe-d with that at point or another haha.
Three Brothers Coffee
Combine a mural stop and coffee break on your visit to Three Bros. It is located right across the street from the Parthenon so take a stroll past the huge replica of the original Greek icon while you wake up!
8th And Roast
Tucked into a quaint, brick clad interior is 8th and Roast, who have possibly the best pastries and veggie burritos ever. They also opened a second location off Charlotte Ave in West that is perfect to work in. They also offer coffee classes!
Portland Brew
Not gonna lie, theres nothing special about the actual shops but Portland Brew has the BEST COLD BREW IN THE CITY. IDK what kind of sorcery they put into their mugs but HOLY. SHIT. Its good.
Osa Coffee
Another hidden gem is Osa. The small shop is nestled in Edgehill and as soon as you walk in, its like a roasting room blast in the face. Try their CBD + Honey cold brew! It's a bit pricey but thats the CBD.
Slow Hand Coffee
Slow Hand has a cute little shop with big ol’ windows and the smell of fresh cut fire wood. Perfect for a quick coffee run!
Headquarters
The smallest business in Nashville. Literally. Headquarters coffee shop is only 9 feet wide and used to be an old storage room for a store. But they have the coziest patio and feels straight outta the 1800’s.
Humphreys Street
In a converted, old church in Wedgewood-Houston, pray to the java gods for energy. No doubt, you will not be disappointed at Humphreys. Try the unique lattes or their toasts are fire too.
Coffee and Coconuts
Ok, so Coffee and Coconuts is in Franklin (about 25 min to the cutest small town you ever did see). I just couldn’t skip on this GEM of a coffee shop. It is the most tropical and coastal spot filled with rattan peacock chair, plants, peacock bathroom wallpaper, and hanging swings.
Sump Coffee
Sump is for all yall coffee connoisseurs. It is hidden back under an office building but worth the find. Plus they have a big coffee skull mural to finish off the vibe!
Taylor Street Coffee
Tucked away in a factory in Germantown is this hidden gem, Taylor Street Coffee. I found them on Instagram and instantly needed to visit. Check out the artists in the space creating or the small shops inside the complex.
Poindexter
Inside the Graduate hotel lobby, Poindexter is ready to welcome you with a hot latte. With ample seating and even a couch collection that will make you wanna chill in that space for hours.
Elegy Coffee
Elegy is also in East Nashville and they have the best walk up window. I personally love their chocolate milk cold brew.
Here are some other rad shops that deserve some love too! So here ya are for those locals and travelers looking for the hidden gems:
