Nashville's Best Off-Broadway Rooftop Bars

So maybe Broadway isn't your style? I get it. Us locals rarely venture down there due to the late night debauchery. And however funny it is to watch drunk people do random shit... the wet bathrooms, crowded streets, and brides vomiting on the sidewalk get old after a bit.  So when we head downtown, we hit all the off-Broadway Nashville rooftop bars. Classy cocktails + panoramic view - vomit covered toilets= my kinda happy hour. So here's my list of Nashville's top rooftop bars off Broadway in town!

L27

On top of the Westin downtown is L27. I love this place because the lobby is huge and their rooftop pool makes me wanna dive in. There is normally a second level of the bar above the pool deck (accessible by spiral staircase) that shows you the pool has a see through glass bottom! Super cool guest amenity! You can rent these cabanas or grab a table inside as well.

Proof

On the rooftop of the W Nashville, this is the best spot for sunset! Also worth checking out their pool deck as well! Check em out in the Gulch.

One of the newest rooftops that I need to get to stat is Zeppelin. Located on 3rd Ave N downtown on the top of the Town Suites. It is decked out with the coolest purple vibes with a psychedelic undertone. Try the fish bowls! Also make sure to check out the coolest coffee shop on the first level, Moonshot, of the same hotel for that cup of joe pick me up after your rooftop hopping nights.

L.A. Jackson

This rooftop on the Thompson Hotel is in the Gulch. The vibes are absolutely insane and the location makes it feel super boujee. I have been here for both a casual happy hour and a DJ dance night. Both vibes are always a blast and the people watching is insane. Watch all the sugar daddies come out to play. There are so many little spots to bar hop in the area.

White Limozeen

White Limozeen is on top of the Graduate Hotel, in Midtown and new in 2020! This Dolly Parton inspired hotel gives music city all the Beverly Hill Hotel meets the South vibes. All pink everything both inside at the bar and out on the pool deck/bar patio! You can rent tickets for the Governor's Pool in the summer for hour slots for the public and guests!

Rare Bird

On the Noelle Hotel rooftop is Rare Bird. I love the art deco inspired decor of the hotel to my core. The bar is decked out in the most beautiful benches next to concrete fireplaces. You can smell fresh chopped wood in the fall time when they have them going. It feels super classy which is perfect for a sunset happy hour!

Bobby Hotel

Fourth Street downtown is home to a few of these boutique hotel rooftops. My favorite winter time bar is Bobby's! During the cool Nashville weather, they set up igloos and warm cabins in their Scandinavian village themed pop up. It is super boujee and I am about it. They also have a 1950's greyhound tour bus the roof you can sit in!

Ellington's

Ellington's Restaurant is on the 4th floor of the Fairlane Hotel. There is this Mad Men, MCM vibe going on throughout the decor of the hotel. They have a great view over 4th Ave/Downtown. Head up to their penthouse for seasonal pop up bars: Miami Vice at the moment!

The Pool Club

The Pool Club is on top of the Virgin Hotel's rooftop. Just opened in 2020, this might be my new favorite. The inside portion of the bar is deck out with hanging plants and it has an intimate vibe to the small space. Try the cocktail with sparkles or the old fashioned with a photo of Dolly Parton in the ice! Cabanas are available for rent so head to their website for all info on that.

All bars are 21+ only. Hot tip for Nashville: Expect your ID to be checked no matter what. You will not be allowed into bars without some form of ID!  These places are some of my favorite places in the city! They are all pricey and that is unfortunately the new Nashville. Be prepared to pay about $12-20 for a cocktail. So make sure to tip your bartenders accordingly!

And most importantly, have a blast. Rooftops are what Nashville does best so you are in good hands at any of these places. Happy bar hopping to Nashville's best off-Broadway rooftop bars!
